The Ault Ward Rodeo

Every year Brandons Grandparents have a rodeo for their ward and family. Bryce and Chandler look forward to the rodeo all summer. This year they were both too big to ride the Sheep so the both got to ride a calf. They told Bryce he had to wear protective gear and a head piece and he said he wasn't riding if he had to do that. (he is way too tough ha)

Chandler got all ready and was up there just about to get on and he got scared and said it was the biggest calf they had so Bryce got on and rode.

He didn't last too long and thought he needed another try. Chandler was up next and he got on the calf and then they started singing a song so he had so sit on the calf about 5 minutes before they let him ride, so by the time they opened the gate he was scared, he fell off pretty quick and hurt his knee pretty bad, they call it water on the knee and he is wearing a brace. Dad was mad that Chandler was crying and telling him to toughen up and stop crying. Maybe one day he will learn to have sympothy especially when he is really hurt.

Park City

We got to go to Park City with my parents and Nate for Summer School. It was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be (thats because I didnt have to go to the school part) We got up there on Firday night and went to dinner and hung out. We got to our hotel, and what we thought was going to have 2 beds only had one and a pull out couch, so my mom decided to make Nate a bed on the floor, she used the couch coushins, robes and towels but,I think Nates bed was more comfortable than the pull out bed. We started watching TV and didn't realize how old my parents and Nate were and they all fell asleep at about 9:30.

We got up the next moring and went to breakfast and then to the Alpine Slide which I havent been on for probably 15 years.
Riding the ski lift
Poor Nate had to ride by himself, (Desi couldn'y come cause
she was babysitting, we missed her!)
Waiting in line, we waited like 30 minutes
It was almost our turn ( I was by far the fastest and never braked, Brandon
got down like 2 minutes after me )
Mom and Dad ready to go!
Nate at the bottom
After that Nate, Dad and Brandon had to go to summer school so me my mom and terianne went to the art festival, they have every type of art you could think of up there.
We went to the outlets and shopped for a little bit and then they had a big bbq after the summer school ended. Brandon decided that he didnt want to sleep on the pull out couch again so we rode home with Nate, well  he just dropped us off at Wal Mart in Draper. Tami told us she could come get us but it would be a while so we loaded a cart with our suit case and walked around, Im sure everyone wondered what we were doing. We had so much fun and are so lucky to have a close family that we love doing stuff with.

The 4th of July

The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, first because we get to spend time with our families, and second because I love fireworks!
Hidden Oaks has an annual parade and breakfast, Brandon was a little skeptical about it but he actually had a lot of fun. We wathced the parade first. Of course my dad, Bryce, Chandle, Lydia, Nate and Ryker all rode the mules and this year my mom was the head "Hiddenette" She got to count out and everyone followed her. She told us she was embararrsed but I think she really liked it. After the 5 minute parade was over we had a big breakfast then they had old fashion games like the gunny sack race which Brandon won. The Three legged race that me and Brandon won and also a tug a wore. We had a lot of fun with them.
Grandma & Grandpa Ault have a tradition of going to the Stadium of Fire with all of Brandons first cousins and Aunts and Uncles. This year Brad Paisley and David Archileta were plating. They both did really good, and then my favorite we got to watch an amazing fire work show.

Ashlee & Mason at the stadium of fire

We also went to the Steel Days Concert where Kansas sang, when we got there it was pouring rain so we were under blankets trying not to get wet. By the time it stopped raining our blankets were drenching and it was pretty cold. Kansas came on and everyone was dancing and singing along especially Bryce and Lydia.

June 4, 2011

June 4, 2011 was the best day of my life because I got to marry my best friend. I loved everything about our wedding and the day couldn't have been more perfect! We got married in Grandpa & Grandma Aults back yard.

We had the ceremony at 10:00 in the morning I got to watch from the upstairs as everyone walked in. I could see everything that was going on. I got to see Brandon pacing back and forth ha I think he was kind of nervous but he also had the biggest smile on his face. I got to watch all my brothers and sisters walk down the isle, then I had a long walk, and as i was walking down the stairs I saw Shayla and Daxton running around the back trying not to be seen. We got to the isle and there were so many people there ( that was the only part I was nervous for, everyone watching me!) I had a huge dress so me and my dad couldn't really fit between the chairs.

I loved the look on Brandon's face as I got closer he got a bigger and bigger smile. Bishop Millar married us he gave us advice and then we said "I do" It was so happy that I was finally married to my best friend. After we were married everyone came up and told us congratulations then we got our pictures taken they all turned out great (Thanks Cortney!)

We then got to hang out for a few hours before the reception started. We went to lunch and helped set up for the reception. The reception started at 6:30 and was supposed to go until 9:00 people really started coming at 6:00 and it went until about 10:00. We had so much love and support. Our videographer wanted to get everything on video so we would take breaks during the line and we had our first dance, the father daughter dance, and mother son dance.

It was time to throw my bouquet and DJ thought it would be fun to throw it over the stream so I got as close to the water as i could without falling in, I threw it and it went straight up and straight back down into the water everyone thought it was so funny, I was a little embarrassed. Liz, Brandon's cousin, got in the water and got it and was so excited she told me so many times that I made her day.

Brandon then flipped the garter the first time he tried it fell to the ground the second time he made it over the stream and Chandler got it and everyone takled him it was pretty cute.

We also had a dance, we didn't get to dance but all my family and cousins did and I could see them and everyone told me how much fun it was.We had Belgian Waffles and everyone was telling me how good they were. Josh still tells me how good they are almost every time I see him. Me and Brandon went and got one and they were so good. We talked to everyone and told them thanks and good bye. all my cousins had sparklers as we left. The day couldn't have been any better I loved every second of it and I couldn't be happier everything turned out better then I ever could have imagined.

Wedding Dinner

We had our wedding dinner on Friday the 3rd, and it turned out perfect. We both have huge familys so there were a ton of people there. For our wedding our colors were going to be coral, purple and green. As I started buying stuff for the wedding I found a ton of coral and peach stuff, so purple and green got eliminated and Brandon was not too happy about it so his mom surprised him and the colors for the wedding dinner were purple and green.
These were the center pieces
Brandons Aunt it a Wedding Planner so she helped with
the wedding dinner.
We had Texas Roadhouse cater the dinner and that is one of favorite places. We had a chocolate fountain and of course lots of ice cream.
My family has a tradition of all my brothers and sisters telling there favorite memory or story of us growing up or just anything about us and giving a little token to be remembered by. So we had all of our families talk and we also had a few aunts, uncles and friends. It turned out so perfect.

Our sweet grandmas

Our parents who did so much for us. We are so greatful to have such wonderful parents who have done so much for us our entire lives, they have taught us so much and we dont know what we would do with out them. We love them and are so greatful for there example to us.
My favorite pare of the whole night is when Brandon got up to thank everyone. He was so cute and told everyone how thankful we are to have all of them and how they have all been great examples to us. He also promised everyone that we would make it to the temple to be sealed forever. I am so greatful for him and all that he does for me, he is the best husband anyone could ask for. I love him more than anything. (he didn't make me say anything which maked it even better.)

The "Real" Proposal

Me and Brandon knew that we were getting married way before he actually proposed. The official proposal May 20 only happened a few weeks before we actually got married. We had been ring shopping and I picked out the perfect ring. We were having it shipped to Nate in Idaho so we didn't have to pay sales tax and Desi was planning on coming down that week because we were all going to Seattle for the Auction. Brandon had told me that they had problems with the ring and it was not going to be ready in time for Desi to bring it. I was just a little disappointed. Brandon and my dad had to drive to Seattle so they left a day before me my mom and Desi. The next day Desi came down (with the ring) and we flew to Seattle. We hung out in Seattle the first day and Brandon kept telling me that he wanted to go to the Space Needle, I didn't even know what that was, but he kept saying that we were going to go.

We got back to our hotel at around 9:30 I told Brandon I was tired he said he wanted to go he just had to go grab a shirt he left in my moms room. He took probably 30 minutes and by the time he came back I had fallen asleep. He woke me up and said we were going and to change my clothes. I didn't know what was wrong with what  I was wearing but he told me to go put on my new shirt and to wear my heels so I did. As we were leaving I asked how much does it cost to get up there he told me $18 a person. I was definitely not going to spend $40 to ride an elevator to the top of the building and I told him that we were not going because that is way too expensive. He kept pushing it, so I gave in. We got there and rode the elevator to the top. Brandon said I kept grabbing his pockets and the ring was in there so would try to switch it really quick. We walked around the space needle for a while and looked over the city. We had someone take our picture and then I was freezing so went went inside and sat down.
Brandon said he wanted to take a few more pictures. We went back outside and he kept asking me who should we have take our picture. I told it didn't mater just to hurry cause it was freezing up there. He would look at someone and say "no not them" so finally after he had said he didn't want ten people to take our picture, I just asked the next person that walked by. He had a funny look on his face and then he said " I have a surprise for you."
He got down on his knee and proposed!!!
        I of course said yes!!!

The guy taking the pictures was shocked and got all excited, and he actually did a way good job for not knowing what was going on.
I Love Love my Ring!!!!!!!

That night we were supposed to eat dinner up there but the restaurant was closed. So the next night we went with the auction company to dinner at John Howie's which is the most expensive restaurant ever! It was the best steak I have ever tasted.
My parents at dinner
Desi &Celeste at dinner (we missed Nate)
We went shopping and toured Seattle It is such a pretty city.
This is a gum wall, people just go and stick there gum on the wall. Its pretty disgusting.
Brandon loves holding Celeste and she either loves him or hates him.

We had so much fun, and hope we can all go next year!!!!
